The U.S. military said on Sunday it had destroyed three Houthi uncrewed surface vessels (USV) in the Red Sea as part of a "self-defense engagement."

"It was determined the USVs presented an imminent threat to U.S. and coalition forces, and merchant vessels in the region," the U.S. Central Command said in a post on X.
