Membership expansion is a core focus of the 24th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), held in Astana, Kazakhstan, from July 3 to 4. CGTN's Enoch Wong interviewed Holdin Hanna, an international relations undergraduate at Belarus State University currently on exchange at Beijing Foreign Studies University. Hanna expressed her excitement about Belarus's anticipated admission as the 10th official member state of the SCO. She voiced hope that the SCO will foster more academic and cultural exchange opportunities for Belarusian youth. She also shared her expectation that China will continue to support economic growth in her country and the region during its upcoming rotational presidency.
