Tajikistan is located in the southeastern part of Central Asia, covering an area of 143,100 square kilometers. The capital, Dushanbe, is the political, economic, cultural and transportation center of Tajikistan. It was one of the first countries to support the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative.
