Molly, a 7-year-old Chinese girl, is "excited" to have received a reply from famed American entrepreneur Elon Musk after she made a video to point out a bug in Tesla's car system, the girl's mother wrote on her social media platform on Wednesday.

Molly described in English the bug she encountered on the car's touchscreen in a video. She said that occasionally the drawing board function isn't very stable and that, when you draw something new, the previous drawing disappears and there's no solution to it.

Some netizens reposted the video on X, prompting the social media platform's owner to respond with "sure."

The netizen, named Hello Yaoyao, appearing to be Molly's mother, said on her Weibo account that Molly felt very happy after hearing Musk responded.

According to Molly's mother, the original intention behind making this video was to encourage her child to independently tackle problems by communicating and finding solutions.

"She discovered the issue herself, communicated it, and resolved it. This process and outcome are very valuable experiences for her entire life," she said.

Netizens were impressed by Molly's resourcefulness, with one commenting, "Musk really replied! The little girl's spoken expression is very clear, and she's so confident."

"The child's pronunciation isn't perfectly standard yet, but she speaks fluently. More importantly, she is very confident and bold in expressing herself in English, which surpasses many people," said another user.
