The Zhuzhu Festival, known as the Yao New Year, is an annual folk festival held in the fifth month of the traditional Chinese calendar in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in south China. During the festival, the Yao people take part in a number of traditional folk customs, such as crossbow shooting, cockfighting, and spinning tops, to celebrate the harvest and commemorate Miluotuo, a legendary figure of the Yao people.
