Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Astana on Tuesday for a summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and a state visit to Kazakhstan. CGTN recently took to the streets in Kazakhstan to ask locals about their views on Xi's visit and their impressions of China and the Chinese elements in their daily lives. Kazakh doctor Alkar Kulan Askarovna told CGTN that the meetings between Xi and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will further enhance ties. "I believe this visit will have a positive impact on areas such as politics, the economy and culture. And the number of student exchanges between the two countries will also increase," she said.
