Thrill Seeker’s Guide to China: Mount Siguniang

Host Tianran He is on a mission: To reach the summit of Mount Siguniang, a towering snowcapped mountain in southwestern China. Together with his friend Ma Chunlin, a photographer for National Geographic, they trek through one of China’s most beautiful and biodiverse hiking routes, before making for base camp. But with worsening weather conditions and severe altitude sickness, the odds are stacked against them. Ten years ago, Tianran failed his attempt at climbing Mount Siguniang’s First Peak – this time, he’s all in.
