Chinese President Xi Jinping and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev attended the opening ceremony of the Trans-Caspian international transportation route via video link at the presidential palace in Astana on July 3.

Experts and officials from both sides expressed their belief that this landmark corridor will revive the grandeur of the ancient Silk Road and stand as a testament to the shared commitment among the countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative to fostering regional connectivity, economic prosperity and cultural exchanges.
