"The Classic Quotes by Xi Jinping," a multilingual television show produced by China Media Group (CMG), aired its third season in Tajikistan as Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to the country on Thursday.

The show focuses on themes covering common prosperity, ecological protection and cultural diversity. It selects original speeches and quotes from ancient Chinese classics used by President Xi to elaborate on ancient Chinese stories and wisdom, presenting to the audience the cultural foundation of Chinese modernization and opening a window for the Tajik people to understand Xi's thinking on the governance of China.

CMG hosted a launch ceremony in Dushanbe on Friday to announce the program's broadcast schedule on Tajikistan's media platforms.

CMG President Shen Haixiong, Minister of Culture of Tajikistan Matlubahon Sattoriyon, Chairman of the National Radio and Television Commission of Tajikistan Nuriddin Said, former Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Rashid Alimov, along with other distinguished guests, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.

Said pointed out that the broadcast of this program marks a new milestone in the cooperation between the two countries in the field of radio and television, after CMG signed a memorandum of cooperation with Tajik state media during President Emomali Rahmon's visit to China in May last year. Alimov said the program illustrates how China's leaders draw energy and wisdom from the experience of history and project it to address the challenges of today's world.

On the same day, the most influential newspaper in Tajikistan, The People, published a front-page story on the program.
