On July 4, a joint maritime search and rescue exercise coded "Anlan-2024" was held in the city of Fuzhou in southeast China's Fujian Province. It involved vessels, vehicles, helicopters and drones from members of the Fujian maritime search and rescue center. The exercise simulated emergencies including a ship fire, evacuation and oil spill, offering practical experiences. Some 500 students from Taiwan participating in a summer camp in Fuzhou watched the event. They also got onboard to experience the main search and rescue vessel, the Haixun-6, from the Fujian Maritime Safety Administration (MSA).
