China has signed inter-governmental science and technology cooperation agreements with more than 80 Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) partners, and collaborated with BRI partners on over 1,000 research projects.

The country has set up 20 agricultural technology demonstration centers in BRI partner countries. It has set up 53 BRI laboratories in agriculture, new energy, nature and health, and 70 overseas industrial parks in BRI partner countries.
