Rescue and relief work is underway to safeguard people's lives and property at Dongting Lake in central China's Hunan Province after a dike breach. The country's emergency response authorities have dispatched drones, helicopters and satellites to help with the rescue. The National Meteorological Center on Saturday issued a blue alert for rainstorms as heavy downpours are expected to lash parts of the country.
