Artists have been busy crafting clay sculptures in Pingshun, a county in north China's Shanxi Province. Rising temperatures and increasing amounts of rainfall make it the best time of the year to collect natural clay for making works of art. The artform has a history spanning nearly a century in the county and often depicts rural figures and their daily lives as they celebrate special occasions.
