Rescue operations are in full swing at Dongting Lake in central China's Hunan Province after a dike breach. All the people affected have been safely evacuated. As of 10 a.m. on July 8, 142.5 meters of the breach had been sealed, with 83.5 meters still to be filled. The breach is expected to be fully sealed before noon on July 9, according to an official.
