On the sidelines of the 12th World Peace Forum held in Beijing last week, CGTN's Xu Qinduo asked former Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy about the U.S. support for Israel and its influence on the region. Fahmy said the Western society was never about right and wrong, but about cost-benefit analysis. He advised the Egyptians to not depend on the West and take the initiative for war or peace in their own region.
