Rescue operations are in full swing at Dongting Lake in central China's Hunan Province after a dike breach. All the people affected have been safely evacuated. Drones, satellites and helicopters were deployed to gain control of the situation. As of the morning on July 8, a total of 138.5 meters of breach has been sealed, with 87.5 meters remaining in the breach.The dike breach is expected to be sealed before noon on Tuesday, Zhang Yingchun, executive vice governor of Hunan Province, told reporters at a press conference on Sunday afternoon.
