The seepage erosion of Qiantuanjian dike in Huarong County, central China's Hunan Province, is basically under control, Xinhua reported on Monday, citing a local expert.

Over 300 people were engaged in emergency repairs on Monday.

The Qiantuanjian dike, with a length of about 14.3 kilometers, is a major flood prevention shield between two large dikes near Dongting Lake.
