Several new piping spots were discovered at another embankment in Dongting Lake in Yueyang, Hunan Province, on the morning of July 8. By 10 a.m., after a two-hour effort by 400 soldiers, firefighters and local residents, three piping spots were sealed, and the dangerous situation at the Qiantuanjian embankment was brought under control.
