Chinese Premier Li Qiang held a symposium on Tuesday to discuss the economic situation and gather insights from experts and entrepreneurs on the country's economy and relevant work.
Li noted China's focus on high-quality development, enhanced macro-control, and the advancement of new productive forces since the beginning of this year, resulting in stable economic performance.
During the symposium, Premier Li emphasized the importance of tackling economic challenges through factual analysis and scientific decision-making. He called for the solid implementation of macro policies and stressed the need to improve their effectiveness to ensure healthy economic development.
Li also highlighted the significance of innovation-driven growth in sustaining economic recovery, underscoring the critical role of enterprises and advocating for targeted policy support to help them achieve technological breakthroughs in key areas. He also called for reforms to unreasonable systems and mechanisms to inspire enthusiasm, initiative and creativity across all sectors, leveraging China's extensive innovation resources.
The premier expressed the hope that entrepreneurs will focus on innovation and provide practical suggestions while encouraging experts and scholars to blend theory with practical insights, enhance forward-looking thinking and conduct regular research to offer valuable contributions.
