On the sidelines of the 12th World Peace Forum in Beijing, Yan Xuetong, dean of the Institute of International Relations at Tsinghua University, said that not only does the U.S. want to drag China into a new Cold War, but it expects to win such a war based on its past ideological defeat and containment of the Soviet Union. But they cannot win without China adopting the same Cold War strategy.
