The 10th Nishan Forum on World Civilizations has kicked off in Qufu City, east China's Shandong Province. The two-day event will discuss "Traditional Culture and Modern Civilization." The forum is named after Nishan Mountain, which is known as the birthplace of Confucius. A 72-meter-high statue of Confucius stands on Nishan Mountain, where visitors can also learn more about Chinese culture and Confucianism.
