Huangyan Island and Ren'ai Jiao are both inherent territories of China. However, the coral reef ecosystem of Ren'ai Jiao has been damaged due to pollution from the Philippines' illegally grounded warship. In contrast, the ecosystem of Huangyan Island, which is protected by China, presents a completely different and positive scenario.
