China released a report on the marine ecology and environmental status of Huangyan Island on Wednesday. Researchers say the comprehensive assessment aims to better understand the ecosystem there and the risks it faces. The report shows the average coverage of live coral exceeds 28 percent in the area, with a significant increase compared to that of 2015.
