China released a report on the health of coral reefs and the marine environment on Huangyan Island in the South China Sea. The report says Huangyan Island enjoys excellent environmental quality and a healthy coral reef ecosystem. Zhao Peng, an associate professor in the School of Marine Science and Engineering at Hainan University, says the island's improved environment highlights China's marine protection efforts.
