Government officials, diplomats, and business representatives attended the grand event, focusing on business ties between the two nations. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh delivered a keynote speech, highlighting the greater opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in many fields.

SHEIKH HASINA, Prime Minister of Bangladesh "I encourage the Chinese business community to consider key sectors in Bangladesh, such as energy, renewable energy, and logistic centers. Bangladesh is keen to export more products to China, such as textiles, garments, leather and leather goods, and other products."

BI RAN, Beijing "China-Bangladesh economic and trade relations are highly complementary. As Bangladesh is pushing forward with its industrial modernization and development, China's advanced technologies and market experiences across industries like IT, manufacturing, and logistics could give bilateral ties a huge boost."

At the summit, industry giants Huawei and China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation signed Memorandum of Cooperation with the delegates from Bangladesh.

LI FEI, Vice Minister, Chinese Ministry of Commerce "Her Excellency Hasina's visit will deepen bilateral cooperation between China and Bangladesh. China has been Bangladesh's largest trading partner for 13 consecutive years, with over 30 billion US dollars invested as of last year. China is committed to providing long-term assistance to Bangladesh's development."

China remains Bangladesh's largest trading partner. In the latest trade data released by China's General Administration of Customs, China-Bangladesh bilateral trade amounted to 10.3 billion US dollars in the first half of 2024 – with a positive growth of 0.2 percent year-on-year.
