Rescuers have evacuated more than 300 people trapped by floods that have ravaged Shigatse City, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, in the last four days.
Battered by rain-triggered floods and landslides, several provincial highway sections in Dinggye County, Shigatse City, were severely damaged. The floods have also knocked out power while causing telecommunications outages in the worst-hit areas. A joint rescue team consisting of first responders from Shigatse City and Dinggye County has been engaging in rescue and disaster relief work since the floods struck four days ago.
