The vessels for the China-Russia naval exercise "Joint Sea-2024" have assembled in Zhanjiang City, south China's Guangdong Province, including guided missile destroyers, guided missile frigates and supply ships. China's Ministry of National Defense says that the ongoing exercise, scheduled to last until around mid-July, is designed to demonstrate the resolve and capabilities of the two sides in jointly addressing maritime security threats and preserving global and regional peace and stability, and it will further deepen the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for the new era.
