Lhegu Glacier, the source of the Parlung Zangbo River, comprises accumulations of ice, snow, rock and sediment. This moving ice body plays a vital role in the environment of southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region. It consists of six glaciers situated near Lhegu Village in Baxoi County, Qamdo City. Abundant rainfall here has contributed to the maritime glaciers. Lhegu Glacier is not only a magnificent sight by itself, but it's also responsible for other natural wonders, including Ra'og Lake, which is the largest lake in east Xizang.
