The President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embalo spoke highly of the three major China-proposed global initiatives and their role in improving the security situation in West Africa.

In an interview with China Media Group on Wednesday, he said the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative proposed by Xi are "commendable" and "important" in overcoming threats such as terrorism and organized crimes in West Africa.
