A suspected gunman is dead and at least one attendee was killed at a rally by former U.S. President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday, the AP reported, citing Butler County district attorney Richard Goldinger.

Blood could be seen on the side of Trump's head and ear as he was rushed off the stage after the shooting. A reporter from news outlet Axios said on X that Trump was hit by glass fragments. There has been no official confirmation yet.

Trump's campaign said in a statement that the former president was "fine" after the shooting. Donald Trump Jr. also told ABC News that his father is "in good spirits" as he remains under medical observation.
