An airstrike in the area of a UN-operated school in Gaza on Sunday targeted militants operating in the vicinity, the Israeli military said.
"This location served as a hideout and operational infrastructure from which attacks against IDF (Israel Defense Forces) troops operating in the Gaza Strip were directed and carried out," the military said. It added that it had taken steps to reduce risk to civilians in the area.
