The ongoing International Congress of Basic Science in Beijing ushered in a group of top mathematicians. During the event, CGTN's Liu Jiaxin spoke with Hiraku Nakajima, president of the International Mathematical Union (IMU) and professor at the University of Tokyo, about his passion for geometric representation theory, global cooperation, AI application, and his advice for young talent.
The IMU is an international non-governmental and non-profit scientific organization with focus on promoting international cooperation in mathematics and other activities likely to contribute to the development of mathematical science.
