U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle told ABC News on Monday that Saturday's Pennsylvania rally shooting, at which former President Donald Trump was shot in the right ear, was "unacceptable" and "the buck stops with me."

However, Cheatle added that she did not intend to resign from her role. "The Secret Service is tasked with the tremendous responsibility of protecting the current and former leaders of our democracy," she said. "It is a responsibility that I take incredibly seriously, and I am committed to fulfilling that mission."
