A fleet of six 8K ultra-high-definition live broadcast vehicles from China Media Group (CMG) has arrived in Paris.

The vehicles arrived at the Stade de France on Tuesday to begin preparations to bring CMG's Olympic coverage live to the world.

This makes Paris 2024 the first Summer Olympics in history with an 8K ultra-high-definition public broadcast signal. Overseas Chinese and local residents expressed excitement as the vans drove past iconic French landmarks en route to the stadium.

"I was so thrilled when I saw the red CMG trucks coming, with Beijing license plates. I felt China is really strong. It's very good," said Li Jie, a Chinese student in France.

Paris resident Yaghi Hami thinks "this is a beautiful surprise".

"Our Chinese friends have come to Paris, to promote the city as the focus of world sports during the Olympics. This is wonderful. CMG's broadcast trucks have passed by the Eiffel Tower, Champs-Élysées, Arc de Triomphe, and more. We are thrilled. This is fantastic. Thank you very much," he said.
