One person was killed after a magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck northern Chile near its border with Argentina late Thursday, CMG reported, citing a Chilean Armed Forces source.
The U.S. Tsunami Warning System said there was no tsunami risk from the earthquake, which was centered around 20 kilometers south of San Pedro de Atacama, according to Chile's national disaster prevention and response service.
