A female panda cub, born to Meng Meng, the eldest of the world's only surviving giant panda triplets, celebrated her first month's birthday at Chimelong Safari Park in Guangzhou City, south China's Guangdong Province, on July 18.
The cub had grown from 178 grams to 1,230 grams as of Thursday, indicating good health, according to the conservation team at the park.
She has grown a black and white coat, replacing the pink skin she was born with, featuring distinctive black fur around her eyes, ears and shoulders. Although her eyes have yet to open, she exhibits high energy levels and strong limbs.
"The cub spends her days drinking milk and sleeping. Her interactions with her mother mainly involve the mother licking the baby. After a month of training, the mother and the daughter have become at ease interacting with each other," said Chen Liangjin, a keeper.

Meng Meng gave birth to the female cub on June 18 following a 128-day pregnancy. This baby is the first newborn giant panda at the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda this year.
Meng Meng, along with her siblings Shuai Shuai and Ku Ku, was born to giant panda Ju Xiao at Chimelong Safari Park on July 29, 2014. The park will also hold a ceremony at the end of July to celebrate the triplets' 10th birthday.
