Beneath the waves, a symphony unfolds. An incredible 20,000 sounds fill the ocean depths, from the high-pitched whistles of dolphins, like underwater sopranos, to the low, haunting calls of blue whales, the ocean's bass. These creatures serenade each other daily, their melodies carrying through the water. Yet, in the sunless depths, sound becomes even more crucial for marine life, serving as their primary means of communication.
Sadly, the ocean's vibrant soundscape is often ignored by humans. Our activities generate noise and pollution, posing a significant threat to some species' survival. However, the tide can be changed.
What can we do to protect this vital ecosystem? China stands as a strong advocate for marine conservation, actively participating in its preservation. On July 11, China's State Council Information Office released a white paper, "Marine Eco-Environmental Protection in China," showcasing the nation's dedication and achievements in safeguarding the ocean's health.
