A giant panda gave birth to a cub at the end of June at a zoo in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, according to the zoo's authorities. The cub met the public for the first time on July 19. A preliminary check indicated that the cub is female. The cub, weighing 185 grams at birth, is in good health.
