Top seed Zheng Qinwen of China dominated her quarterfinal match at Palermo Ladies Open by defeating No. 7 seed Jaqueline Cristian of Romania 6-1, 6-1 on Friday.
Zheng is the defending champion at the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) event in Palermo, Italy.
The 21-year-old Chinese player will face Diane Parry of France, while Romania's Irina-Camelia Begu is set to take on Karolína Muchová of the Czech Republic in Saturday's semifinals.
