Israel's air defense system intercepted a surface-to-surface missile fired from Yemen on Sunday, the Israel Defense Forces said in a social media post.
The projectile was shot down before it crossed into Israeli territory, the military added.
Before the interception, air raid sirens had sounded in the Red Sea port city of Eilat in southern Israel.
