Forty-nine poets from Brazil, Russia, India, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Iran and Ethiopia and 23 Chinese poets gathered in China for the inaugural International Youth Poetry Festival from July 19 to 24. Following their time in Hangzhou, they will continue their journey to China's capital, Beijing, for further discussions and cultural exchanges.
