China's independently developed AG600 large amphibious aircraft obtained its first Type Inspection Authorization (TIA) on July 23, according to the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). The TIA is issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, which represents the start of the certification flight test of this new aircraft model.
The AG600 large amphibious aircraft family is being developed as vital advanced aeronautical equipment to strengthen the country's emergency-rescue capabilities, according to its developer, AVIC.
It is expected to obtain its type certificate at the end of this year.
