Paris is embracing the Summer Olympics once again, promising an unforgettable experience a century after it last staged the Games. This will be the third time the French capital hosts the Olympics, following 1900 and 1924.
The city will welcome 10,500 athletes from over 200 national committees, including a refugee team. This edition marks a historic first, featuring an equal number of male and female athletes. A total of 329 medal events will take place, with 35 venues in Paris, the Île-de-France region, and across the rest of France.
