Chinese mainland calls on DPP to recognize 1992 Consensus

00:24

The Chinese mainland says there will be no obstacles to cross-Straits dialogue and exchanges as long as the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) recognizes the one-China principle. State Council Taiwan Affairs Office spokesperson Zhu Fenglian says foreign interference is not allowed when it comes to the Taiwan question. The spokesperson made the remarks on Wednesday, responding to American scholar Bonnie Glaser's advice that the U.S. should help establish a secret communication channel between the mainland and Taiwan.
