Eighteen people were killed and one person has been hospitalized after a Saurya Airlines aircraft crashed on Wednesday at Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal's capital Kathmandu.

"The plane was scheduled to undergo maintenance for a month beginning Thursday ... It is unclear why it crashed," said Mukesh Khanal, marketing head of Saurya Airlines, according to Reuters. CGTN was at the scene of the accident on Wednesday and filmed police cordoning off the wreckage and firefighters battling flames.
