After making its Olympic debut in Tokyo, skateboarding will once again be on the program in Paris, with the competitions taking place at the Place de La Concorde in the heart of the French capital. The world's best skateboarders will face each other in two disciplines: park and street.
China's 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics snowboarding gold medalist Su Yiming, who is also a big fan of skateboarding, joined CGTN Sports Scene's Zhu Mandan in the program's virtual studio for an episode of the special "Talk Sports" series that focuses on the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.
Su has become a national hero and positive role model for youngsters in China and beyond, and recently visited our "Paris Rooftop Café" in our special AR studio. He gave Sports Scene his outlook on the Summer Olympics from the perspective of a Winter Olympics champion in the most recent edition of "Talk Sports."
Su won gold in the men's Big Air and silver in the men's slopestyle at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. He has also been recognized as the first snowboarder to complete and successfully land a 1980-degree aerial spin in competition.
