China has reiterated its readiness to work with ASEAN and its neighbors in East Asia to advance regional economic integration. China's top diplomat, Wang Yi, made these remarks at the foreign ministers meeting of the 10-member association of Southeast Asian nations plus China, Japan and South Korea in Vientiane. Wang Yi said China is ready to move forward with its neighbors to establish an East Asian community. He also vowed to support China's commitment to upholding openness and inclusiveness. Wang Yi has also met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on the sidelines, and the two are expected to discuss issues of mutual concern.
