It's an unforgettable night in Paris as the 33rd Summer Olympic Games finally opened in the French capital on Friday. Unlike the previous versions, the opening ceremony this time wasn't limited to a stadium. Paris moved it outside to the heart of the city and transformed the urban spaces into a big stage.
Participating delegations paraded down the River Seine on boat, alongside some iconic architectural masterpieces. The opening ceremony performances and the way that the Olympic cauldron was lit all showed the romance and fantasy of the French people.
