Chinese athletes won one gold, one silver and one bronze medals on Sunday at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris. Meanwhile, multiple athletes of the country advanced to the finals in their respective events.
Xie Yu claimed China's third gold in the 10-meter air pistol men's shooting final after bouncing back from No. 6 with a score of 240.9 points. He beat Federico Nilo Maldini of Italy by a slender margin of 0.9 points.
Yang Xiaolei, Li Jiaman and An Qixuan secured the women's archery team silver after falling to South Korea in the final. It was South Korea's 10th straight victory in the event since it was introduced to the Olympic Games in 1988.

Zhang Yufei added a bronze medal for China as she finished the women's 100-meter butterfly swimming final in 56.21 seconds. Two American swimmers, Torri Huske (55.59 seconds) and Gretchen Walsh (55.63 seconds), pocketed the gold and silver medals, respectively.
The Chinese swimming team will have more chances to go for golds on Monday after Tang Qianting advanced to the women's 100-meter breaststroke final. Xu Jiayu reached the men's 100-meter backstroke final and his performance of 52.02 seconds in the semifinals is 0.56 seconds faster that that of the world record holder, Thomas Ceccon of Italy.
Yang Junxuan made the women's 200-meter freestyle final as well as No. 5 from the semifinals with 1:55.9.
In the women's skateboarding street final, 14-year-old Cui Chenxi came in fourth with 241.56 points, setting the best result for China at the Olympic Games.

Team China continued to win in other sports too. Sun Yingsha and Wang Chuqin not only beat Lin Yun-Ju and Chen Szu-yu of Chinese Taipei to progress into the table tennis mixed doubles semifinals, both began the women's and the men's singles competitions with victories.
The four Chinese players in the women's singles tennis event, Zheng Qinwen, Wang Xiyu, Wang Xinyu and Yuan Yue, all went past the first round. Zheng swept her opponent Sara Errani of Italy 6-0, 6-0.
