A stabbing attack at a children's dance class in northwest England killed two children and wounded 11 people on Monday. Police arrested a 17-year-old boy and seized a knife after the bloody rampage.

Serena Kennedy, a senior police official, said the suspect was a 17-year-old male from Banks in Lancashire and originally from Cardiff. He has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, she said, adding that the suspect had been taken to a police station to be interviewed by detectives.
